 Ice Pack :

Ice is one of the easiest remedies for neck pain. The cold temperature helps in reducing the inflammation and easing the pain. For this purpose, firstly you have to put some crushed ice cubes in a plastic bag. Secondly, wrap the plastic bag in a thin towel and put the ice pack on your neck for 15 minutes at a time. Follow this remedy every two to three hours for the first 24 hours; don’t apply ice directly on your skin.

Apple Cider Vinegar :

Apple cider vinegar is a powerful antioxidant so, helps in relieving pain. Besides this, its anti-inflammatory properties make it more useful in healing joint pain. Apple cider vinegar has a number of essential nutrients to eliminate the possibility of nutrient-deficiency related pain.

You have to soak a paper towel in apple cider vinegar, place it over the affected part of your neck. You can repeat the process until the pain is completely relieved. Instead of doing this, you can add two cups of apple cider vinegar to lukewarm water and soak in it for at least 15 minutes.

Epsom Salt Bath :

An Epsom salt bath can help in relieving muscle tension, reducing stress and giving instant pain relief. The magnesium sulfate in it works as a natural muscle relaxant that helps in reducing swelling and pain. You have to add one to two cups of Epsom salt to warm water for taking bath. You have to soak your body, specifically the neck area in t for 15 to 20 minutes. For the better results do this daily until your neck pain is healed completely.

Lavender Oil :

Lavender oil is also a good option to relieve neck pain. It is very effective when used along with massage therapy. Massage can help in relieving tense muscles and help you in sleep better. Before applying lavender oil taking a hot bath or shower for relaxing your sore necks muscles will be a beneficial thing to do. Now rub some lavender oil on your neck and shoulders.  While massaging apply gentle pressure in small circular motions to massage the affected area for 10 minutes. Repeat the process daily as needed. You will get enough relief from your pain.

Turmeric :

Using turmeric for reducing neck pain is also a good way. Turmeric’s curcumin agent is an important phytochemical that can act as an anti-inflammatory agent and hence helps in easing pain. It also helps in improving blood circulation which can speed up the recovery process. You can take one teaspoon of turmeric powder in a glass of milk daily twice a day.

Exercise is another better way to reduce the neck pain. It can help you stabilize and strengthen your neck muscles as well as your upper back. Doing exercise is also a better way to reduce the stress.

There are two types of neck exercises that can help in easing neck pain. But, before doing exercise applying moist heat to the neck before performing the exercises. Slowly rotate your neck in a circular motion, clockwise as well as anti-clockwise direction. Initially, it may cause a little, but it can effectively help in relieving neck pain.  Additionally, you can also move your neck slowly back and forth and side to side.
