Effective Home Remedies to Reduce Swelling and Pain from an Injury
You can suffer from pain and swelling of an injury even after taking number of precautions. Injuries can happen at any time and any place; while you are walking on road, lifting a heavy bag or working in kitchen.
Swelling occurs when your skin, organs and other body parts of the body enlarge as a result of fluid buildup. It is one of the body’s inflammatory responses to injury. Rest :
For a fast relief from swelling and pain caused by injury, you need to rest injured area as much as possible. Proper rest is necessary for repairing soft tissue damage that results due to minor injuries. More pressure on the injured area will cause more swelling, pain and late healing.

Mix equal parts of raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar and water. Warm up the solution and then soak a towel in it. Wrap the wet towel around the painful area and keep it for 5 to 10 minutes. Repeat the process twice a day.
Alternatively, you can also mix 2 tablespoons of raw apple cider vinegar in a glass of warm and drink it by adding a little honey.
Epsom Salt Soak :
Epsom salt is a great remedy when it comes to reducing swelling and pain due to injury. Loaded with magnesium sulfate, Epsom Salt relaxes stressed muscles and improves blood circulation.
You can use Epsom salt after the 48 hours of the injury. Mix 2 tablespoons of Epsom Salt in a small tub filled with warm water and soak the affected area in it for 10 to 15 minutes. Repeat the same 3 times a week.

Compression :
